About this objectPants from a jumpsuit. Used as stuffing in a pillow made by Clare Fraser in the 1980s when a student at the University of Otago.
"I made the cushion in about 1989, from my own clothes and those of my flatmates. Left Dunedin to seek my fortune soon after that and my parents had the cushion at their house in the meantime, using it as a step to an upper level in their attic room. I recently realised it's a time capsule so opened it, to my delight - a spaceship had landed direct from the 80s."
Credit LineOn loan from Clare Fraser.
